To further enhance our services, we work with specialist advisors in social security, personal tax, employment law, pensions, insurance, travel, and training.

Asset V provides crewing solutions for a diverse range of vessels, including commercial cargo ships, cruise liners, offshore energy and specialist marine vessels, as well as luxury yachts. We specialize in resolving the unique challenges posed by the international workforce, flag states, and operating regions. With experience processing payments in over 80 jurisdictions, our team ensures smooth and compliant payment solutions for multinational crews.

Responsibilities:

Manage global employment arrangements to ensure compliance with international workforce legislation.
Oversee the day-to-day administration of the HR function, including payroll, contracts, and benefits.
Ensure cost-effective and professional management of the workforce across various jurisdictions.
Maintain the crewing matrix for each vessel and monitor the on signing and off signing in compliance with the crew matrix.
Operate payroll systems for multi-national workers, managing payments in different currencies.
Utilize cloud-based payroll software, providing online access to payslips for crew members.
Manage international payment systems, ensuring timely and accurate salary payments.
Work with internal and external partners to offer employee benefits, including international pension schemes.
Ensure compliance with national and international payroll regulations, handling necessary calculations, deductions, and payments according to deadlines.
Collaborate with qualified payroll staff, ensuring they meet industry-recognized certifications or are working towards them.
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards and maintain DNV-GL 3.404 – Part II certification for Seafarer Recruitment and Placement, keeping up to date with industry standards and regulatory changes.

Requirements:

Five years in a senior role within a crewing department, ideally within the maritime or offshore sector
Strong knowledge of STCW and other maritime regulations including hours of work and rest
Experience with crew payroll management and employment queries.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in crewing and payroll software
Strong leadership and problem solving skills
Fluency in English is a must. Additional languages such as Italian and French are considered an asset to this office
